Dipika Kakkar’s liver affected due to cancer

Dipika Kakar opened up about her health battle during an appearance on the LOL podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa. The actress revealed that nearly 11 centimetres of a tumour was removed from her liver, which was about 22 per cent of the organ. She explained, “In the first week of November, I’ll be undergoing my FAPI scan again. A FAPI scan is similar to a CT scan, but it’s specifically used to detect cancer cells in the body. It helps doctors understand how far the cancer may have spread before starting surgery or treatment.” Dipika added that the best part was that the cancer was confined only to the tumour and had not spread to other organs. The cancerous part was removed along with the affected portion of her liver.She also shared that the doctors were shocked by her diagnosis because of her healthy lifestyle. Dipika said, “Doctors told me they had no answer about how I got cancer.The actress highlighted how difficult the treatment has been, not just physically but emotionally, for her and her loved ones. Throughout this challenging phase, her husband Shoaib Ibrahim has been by her side. Dipika said, “Mera koi test nahi ho sakta without Shoaib. It’s only possible when he is with me. Shoaib always holds my hand or touches my feet during any test.”Shoaib Ibrahim also gave an update on Dipika’s health during a recent Q&A with fans, sharing, “We went to the hospital to give blood samples just yesterday (November 4). Initially, we had to go after three months (following the surgery earlier this year), and after that, we were told to come after two months.
