Hero launches new Xtreme 125R variant with dual-disc brakes & dual-channel ABS

New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp has introduced a new variant of the Xtreme 125R, equipped with dual disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. The bike continues to target young riders looking for a mix of sporty design and daily practicality. With this update, Hero aims to strengthen the Xtreme 125R’s position against rivals like the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet and Bajaj Pulsar N125.

Hero has made the Xtreme 125R one of the most advanced bikes in its class, priced slightly higher than before, the new version focuses on enhancing both performance and rider convenience while keeping the familiar look and feel of the original model intact.

Xtreme 125R: Key Highlight

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new top variant of the Xtreme 125R with several updates. The bike now gets a ride-by-wire throttle, which allows features like cruise control and three riding modes, including Power, Road, and Eco. These can be accessed through the same colour LCD display seen on the Hero Glamour X.

Another major upgrade is the addition of dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, making it the first bike in the 125cc segment to offer this feature. This should improve braking performance and safety compared to other bikes in its class.

To give it a distinct look, Hero has introduced new colour options exclusive to this variant like red, silver, and green. Each shade gets three minimal stripes for a sportier finish.

The bike is still powered by the same 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.5hp and 10.5Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. So while the power figures remain unchanged, the electronic updates make it more advanced and convenient for daily riders.

Xtreme 125R which was priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom) now the new variant sits at the top of the Xtreme 125R range. Which will cost around Rs 9,000 more than the top-spec TVS Raider, which offers a TFT screen but lacks dual-channel ABS and ride-by-wire tech.
