UPSC IFS Mains Admit Card 2025 Download: Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC has released the admit card of Indian Forest Service (IFS) Mains Exam 2025. Candidates who are going to appear in this examination can now download their hall ticket by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. To download the admit card, candidates have to use their registration ID, roll number or date of birth.
When will UPSC IFS Mains exam be held?
According to the schedule released by UPSC, IFS Mains exam will be conducted from 16 November to 23 November 2025. The examination will be held in two shifts at various centers across the country-
- First Shift (Forenoon Session): 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Second Shift (Afternoon Session): 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
- It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the print copy of the admit card and valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination without admit card.
How to Download UPSC IFS Mains Admit Card 2025
- First of all go to the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
- Click on the link ‘E-Admit Card for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2025’ given on the homepage.
- Select the download option on the next screen.
- Now login by entering registration ID or roll number and date of birth.
- After submission your admit card will appear on the screen.
- Download it and take a printout of it for future.

UPSC IFS Mains Exam 2025 Schedule
The exam schedule will run from November 16 to November 23, 2025. There will be two shifts every day. The morning shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. See the complete timetable below-
- 16 November (Sunday): There will be General English exam in the morning and General Knowledge exam in the afternoon.
- 17 November (Monday): There will be no paper on this day, meaning it will be a day of rest.
- November 18 (Tuesday): There will be Maths Paper-1 or Statistics Paper-1 in the morning and Maths Paper-2 or Statistics Paper-2 in the afternoon.
- November 19 (Wednesday): There will be Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Paper-1 or Zoology Paper-1 in the morning, and Paper-2 of the same subjects in the afternoon.
- November 20 (Thursday): There will be Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Science or Physics Paper-1 in the morning, and Paper-2 of these in the afternoon.
- November 21 (Friday): Chemistry or Botany Paper-1 in the morning, Chemistry or Botany Paper-2 in the afternoon.
- November 22 (Saturday): There will be Geology Paper-1 in the morning and Geology Paper-2 in the afternoon.
- November 23 (Sunday): There will be Agriculture or Forestry Paper-1 in the morning, and Agriculture or Forestry Paper-2 in the afternoon.

UPSC IFS Mains 2025 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
There will be total 6 papers in UPSC IFS Mains Exam-
- Paper 1 (General English): 300 marks
- Paper 2 (General Knowledge): 300 marks
- Paper 3 to 6: Will be based on two optional subjects chosen by the candidate. Each paper will be of 200 marks.
- The examination will be written and the candidates will have to perform best in both their understanding of the subject and writing skills.
