In Sitamarhi, PM Modi attacked ‘Jungle Raj’ and said that Bihar wants development. He promised the youth ‘startups’ and employment instead of ‘katta’. Enumerating the development works of the NDA government, Modi also assured the development of Punaura Dham.
Sitamarhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large public meeting in Sitamarhi before the voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025. As soon as he stepped on the stage, slogans of Modi-Modi and Jai Shri Ram became louder among the crowd. PM Modi said that the first phase of voting in Bihar has given a clear message that the people now want development, want a stable government and do not want to go back to the days of Jungle Raj.
He said, “In the first phase of voting, the people of Jungle Raj got a shock of 65 volts.” PM Modi claimed that the inclination of youth, women and first-time voters is in favor of NDA.
Emphasizing on the employment and future of the youth, the Prime Minister said, “Bihar needs books, computers, startups. We don’t want a Bihar that shows off its guns. Now, not ‘hands-up’, but ‘startup’ will work in Bihar.” He said that some parties just want to keep the youth of Bihar entangled in the politics of mob, weapons and fear, whereas today’s youth wants to move forward, wants job, wants business, wants respect.
Bihar’s child is not colourful, will become doctor-engineer
PM Modi accused RJD that minor children are being made to raise slogans on their platforms to become ‘Rangdaar’. “I ask the youth of Bihar. Do you want to become a painter or a doctor, engineer, lawyer and judge?” He said that the NDA government is connecting the youth with sports, technology and skills. Work is continuing on the development of schools, stadiums and training centres.
Sharp comment on Jungle Raj
PM Modi said that Bihar has suffered the pain of crime, caste violence, extortion and corruption during the era of Jungle Raj. “Jungle Raj means harshness, cruelty, bitterness, bad manners and corruption. If the people of Jungle Raj come to power again, Bihar will not go two steps forward, but ten steps backward.” He said that RJD and Congress neither established industries nor built hospitals during their 15-year rule, but the factories that existed were also closed.
The PM mentioned the changes that took place in the state under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He said that the NDA government will give further impetus to development. Farmers, youth, women and small traders will be given a strong base.
- Road and bridge construction accelerated
- Air and rail connectivity improved
- Electricity and internet reached villages
- Ethanol policy implemented for farmers
- Old sugar mills reopened
Memories related to Sita Mata’s land
PM Modi said that Sitamarhi is a place associated with his spiritual faith. Recalling the 2019 visit, he said that on the same day he had prayed to Mata Sita and the next day the Supreme Court had given the verdict on Ram Temple. He said that a grand temple of Sitamarhi’s son-in-law has been built in Ayodhya. Now it is the turn of mother’s parents’ house. The whole world will see the grandeur of Punaura Dham.
