But when the police started investigating, the truth surprised everyone – the woman whom everyone had assumed was “dead” was found alive with her lover in Gwalior.
Mother filed a case of murder, said – daughter’s body disappeared
The girl, living in Barhpar Bhojurai village of Sadat police station area, was married to Rajendra, resident of Hathora, Khanpur on 6 June 2023. A few months later she suddenly went missing. The bride’s mother filed a complaint in the police station, alleging that her daughter was murdered and the body disappeared due to not getting a bike as dowry. The police registered the case, but due to the body not being found, the direction of the investigation gradually changed.

Secret revealed through surveillance – bride found with lover in Gwalior
Police started investigation with the help of electronic surveillance and mobile location. Meanwhile, a location led the police straight to Gwalior. When the team reached there, the same girl was there, who was described as “dead”. She was alive with her lover and both were living in a rented house.
During interrogation the girl told that –
I met my boyfriend when I was studying in high school. Both of them promised to get married, but the family members forcibly got me married at another place. One day, seeing the opportunity, I ran away from home and came to Gwalior with my lover.
In-laws got relief after recovery of bride
The police presented the bride recovered from Gwalior in the Ghazipur court. After this news, husband Rajendra, mother-in-law Kamli Devi, father-in-law Phoolchand, brother-in-law Munna, and sisters-in-law Renu and Akash heaved a sigh of relief. He told that –
We were innocent, but the sword of arrest was hanging over our heads. Now the truth has come out.
Now a case of false accusation can be filed against the mother
After the matter came to light, the bride’s mother admitted that she had made false allegations in a hurry. However, the police have indicated that they may take legal action against the woman for filing a false FIR and falsely accusing her of dowry death.
CO Saidpur, who is investigating the case, said, “We investigated the case at both technical and humanitarian levels. The truth is now completely clear. The girl is safe and will be handed over to her family.”

This case, which started from Ghazipur, ended in Gwalior, where a “missing bride” had started a new life with her lover. Now the police is registering this entire incident as a ‘fake murder case’, so that in future no one can spoil anyone’s life by making false allegations.
