‘Papa-mom! NEET student commits suicide by writing ‘Please forgive me’ note

A 21-year-old student preparing for NEET committed suicide in Kanpur. His body was found hanging from a fan in a hostel in Rawatpur. In the suicide note, the student has cited excessive exam pressure as the reason for taking his life.

Kanpur: A 21-year-old student preparing for the NEET entrance exam in Uttar Pradesh committed suicide. There was a student named Mohammad Aan, resident of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, who committed suicide the previous day. Mohammad’s body was found in a hostel in Rawatpur. On Friday, friends came to call Mohammed for prayers, but he did not go with them. When Imad Hassan, a fellow hostel student, returned from the mosque, he found Mohammed dead.

When Imad Hasan came back from the mosque, the room was locked from inside. He called Mohammad several times, but got no response. After this Imad informed the police. Police reached the spot and broke the door and went inside and found Mohammed hanging from the fan. A suicide note written by the student has also been found. Police said that this 21-year-old student, resident of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, had come to the hostel only four days ago.

The suicide note found near the body read, ‘Papa and Mummy, please forgive me. I am under too much pressure. I can’t fulfill your dreams. I am giving my life and only I am responsible for it. Police said that the student’s body has been sent for postmortem and his family has been informed about this.
