Yoga in Government Job Exams: Haryana Government has announced that now Yoga will be included in the syllabus. Now questions related to yoga will also be asked in the government job examinations of HSSC and HPSC.
Chandigarh (Haryana): Haryana government has made a big announcement regarding yoga education in the state. According to the announcement made on the occasion of International Yoga Day, Yoga is now being included in everything from school curriculum to recruitment examinations for government jobs.
The method of education will change in Haryana
The government said that from the current academic session 2026-27, Yoga will be made a part of the syllabus for the children of class 6th. After this, from the next academic year it will be implemented for all children from class 3rd to class 9th. The aim of the government is to increase awareness about yoga and good health among children from an early age.
Now courses to make career in Yoga
To implement this scheme properly, all Physical Training Instructors (PTI), Diploma in Physical Education (DPED), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and selected Primary Teachers (PRTs) will be given special training on yoga asanas so that there is no shortage of teachers teaching in schools.
Big announcement of Haryana government
- Another big decision is that now it will be mandatory to ask questions related to Yoga in all the recruitment examinations of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
- Apart from this, a state level institute of naturopathy and yoga will also be opened in Morni. Here, education based on research, training and wellness in the field of Yoga and Naturopathy will be promoted. The government also said that Yoga will be an important part of the 5 Centers of Excellence being built in different universities of the state.
- Earlier on Friday, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had said that Yoga is a precious gift of Indian culture, which our sages have given for the welfare of the entire world.
Now yoga is not just an exercise…
- The Chief Minister was speaking at a program organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day at the Dham of Baba Bhuman Shah in village Baba Bhuman Shah (Sangar Sarista) of Sirsa district on Friday.
- In his address, he said, “The journey of yoga, which started thousands of years ago, has reached the entire world today. Yoga is not just an exercise, but a complete way of life connecting body, mind, soul and society.”
A big announcement was made in the United Nations General Assembly
Praising the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that it was because of him that Yoga got international recognition. Due to his tireless efforts, in 2014 the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as International Yoga Day. At that time 177 countries had supported this proposal and today almost every country in the world has adopted Yoga.
