IMD predicts heavy rainfall in four Tamil Nadu districts this weekend

Chennai: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall for four districts in Tamil Nadu today, Saturday, November 8th, due to an atmospheric depression prevailing over southern parts of India.

According to a bulletin from the Chennai Meteorological Centre, the districts of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, and Thoothukudi are likely to experience heavy rains. The wet spell is expected to continue into Sunday for Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts.

For the state capital, Chennai, the forecast indicates a partly cloudy sky with a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few areas. The city can expect a maximum temperature of around 32-33° Celsius and a minimum of around 25-26° Celsius. The IMD has not issued any warning for fishermen along the coast.
