AC cell reduction
The monsoon knocked ahead of time in the country compared to every year. This is the reason that people got relief from the heat before time. However, the room air conditioner companies have suffered a big loss due to the early monsoon. According to a report, air conditioner companies have been affected by up to 34 percent in the June quarter.
Companies like air conditioner company Voltas, Blue Star and Havells have fallen by 13-34% in their residential room AC segment. This decline is even more visible due to record sales caused by the heavy heat in the same quarter of last year. However, some companies have performed brilliantly in their commercial AC business and expected to improve demand in the coming festivals.
Unseasonal rain became a headache
The monsoon across the country had knocked before time this year. This year, this year, it is raining heavily across the country. Last year, people were troubled by the heavy heat and humidity during these days i.e. July-August. This is the reason that people were shifting towards AC leaving the cooler. The result was that last year there was a huge increase in the sale of air conditioners. On the other hand, traders also hoped this year that the market would run like last year. However, the rain turned water on his expectations. This is the reason that there has been a huge decline in AC sales.
Whose business was reduced?
This year’s business of almost every company making air conditioner has reduced. Voltas’s revenue has reduced by 24 percent to Rs 2,867.86 crore. Voltas’s business was Rs 3,802.17 crore in the June quarter last year itself. Havells have the most shock. Their cell is directly reduced by 34 percent. This is the reason that the business has been directly from Rs 1,924.11 crore to Rs 1,261.85 crore.
The chairman of the Havels said about Anil Rai’s decreasing cell that the biggest reason behind it is intermittent rain. Due to this, the business of fans and room coolers of the company has also reduced.
Somewhere a shock and some thick profits
Even though the cell of the room AC has fallen across the country and the companies have suffered damage. However, to some extent of this loss, large ACs which are planted in companies, their cells have seen a boom. This year, much larger AC has been sold than last year. This is the reason that the loss of companies has reduced to some extent.
