Sankashti Chaturthi 2025 date: The fast of Ganadheep Sankashti Chaturthi, which falls on the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This fast is observed on Krishna Paksha Chaturthi of every month, but when this day falls on Saturday or Tuesday, it is called Angaraki Sankashti Chaturthi. It is believed that worshiping Ganpati Bappa properly on this day removes all troubles and brings happiness and prosperity in life. Sankashti Chaturthi method of worship
Wake up before sunrise, take bath and wear clean clothes. Take a pledge to fast by taking water, rice and flowers in your hand. Install the idol or picture of Lord Ganesha. Offer them Roli, Akshat, Durva, red flowers and sacred thread. Offer modak or sesame laddu to Ganpati, because sesame is especially important in this fast. Light incense sticks and chant the mantra ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namah’ and read the story of Ganadheep Sankashti Chaturthi. After moonrise in the evening, offer Arghya to the moon by mixing water, milk, sandalwood and Akshat. After moon darshan and Arghya, break the fast by consuming satvik food or fruits.
