The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next seven days in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The biggest concern is about August 13, as there is a possibility of more than 13 centimeters of rain in some parts of Uttarakhand that day. On the same day, Jammu and Kashmir also forecast heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, for which the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.

Effect of rain in North India

Uttar Pradesh is also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains on August 13. This situation may remain in western UP till 14 August. Haryana and Punjab are expected to have strong rains till August 11. At present, the rain is weak in central India, but it will rise from August 13. Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected to have heavy to very heavy rainfall between August 13 to 16.

Warning of heavy rain in these states

Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will receive heavy rains on August 11. On August 12, the intensity of rain may increase here and an orange alert has been issued. Some parts of Gujarat may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. Orange alert has also been issued for this. Heavy rains are expected at some places on August 10 in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and internal Karnataka in South India. Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh may receive heavy rains on August 12. On August 14, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in these states, which may continue till August 15 and 16.
