This pain can be both severe and mild, but in some women the pain can last for several days and it is severe. The reason for this is that prostaglandin hormone is produced in the body of women during periods. In some women, this hormone is produced in excess. If it is produced in excess then the muscles of the uterus of women shrink more. Due to this contraction, the pain intensifies and lasts for several days.

Dr. Saloni explains that women who have problems with fibroids or cysts also have more pain during periods. If a woman is under mental stress and her cortisol hormone level is increasing, then this can also cause pain.

Some symptoms can be serious

Dr. Saloni says that it is normal to have more pain for one or two days during periods, but if it continues for other days also and due to this there is difficulty in doing any kind of work, then a doctor should be consulted in this matter. If some symptoms are visible such as heavy bleeding, vomiting, fever or dizziness along with pain, then go to the hospital immediately. Do not be careless in this matter.
