’12 NDA ministers are losing’, Congress claims record 64% voting in Bihar elections 2025

Congress has described 64% voting as a sign of change of power. The party claimed that 12 NDA ministers and both the Deputy Chief Ministers are losing. He accused BJP of preparing to sideline Nitish Kumar.

After the voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the Congress Party made it clear on Friday that the public is now in the mood for decisive change. Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Shukla adopted an aggressive stance in the press conference, claiming that the record 64 percent voting rate is a sign that the public has made up its mind about change of power. Shukla said, “The public has pressed the button and the vibration has reached the seat of power.”

12 ministers of NDA and both the Deputy Chief Ministers are losing

Citing the ground reports of his party and the Grand Alliance, the Congress leader launched the biggest attack on the BJP-JDU alliance. He claimed that 12 out of 15 ministers of the NDA government are losing their seats, including both the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar. He said, “This is not just a matter of statistics, it is a proof of public anger. When the top faces of power are seen struggling on their seats, then understand that the public has made up its mind.” Shukla said that this huge turnout is the most fatal sign for the NDA, because it clearly shows that the people are fed up with the current system.

Preparations to sideline Nitish

Rajiv Shukla also took a dig at the alleged tussle going on between BJP and JDU. He based it on the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah, in which he had said that after the elections, the legislature party will decide who will be the Chief Minister. Shukla alleged that BJP has made full preparations to sideline Nitish Kumar. This is an old habit of BJP, coming to power riding on the shoulder and then dropping the same shoulder. Like Maharashtra, Manipur and Jharkhand, now the same story is being repeated in Bihar.

attack on promises

The former Union Minister described the Central Government as standing on a ‘palace of lies’ and focused on the issues of expensive petrol-diesel and employment. Rajeev Shukla said that it was promised to get petrol at ₹50 and diesel at ₹30 but today petrol is above ₹110 and diesel at ₹100. When the dollar crossed ₹40 during Manmohan Singh’s tenure, BJP used to say that it was an insult to the country. Now the dollar is close to ₹90, so this has become not an insult but an achievement. He asked that 22 crore jobs should have been provided by 2022, but even 22 lakh were not provided.

resolution of grand alliance

Rajiv Shukla finally reiterated the commitments of the grand alliance’s manifesto, which promises to give an accountable and transparent government to the people. He said that the Grand Alliance in Bihar has taken a common resolve to empower women, provide employment to the youth and bring Bihar on the path of development with dignity. Shukla expressed confidence that the people have made up their mind to change the 20-year rule and the Grand Alliance will get huge public support this time.
