Thrissur Police has arrested 21-year-old Mohammed Midhilaj in online job fraud. He duped a person of Rs 11 lakh by promising him a job in Amazon. The accused is also involved in several other online fraud cases.

The accused, who cheated Rs 11 lakh by claiming to be an online job agency and promising huge profits on investment in Amazon part-time promotion work, has been arrested. Mohammed Midhilaj, 21, resident of Nellikuth, Malappuram, was arrested by the Thrissur Rural Cyber ​​Police team from Mannarkkad. This action was taken by Thrissur Rural District Police Chief B. Under the leadership of Krishnakumar.

This fraud was done by sending messages related to online part-time jobs through WhatsApp and Telegram accounts and gaining trust. Harish Ravindranath, a resident of Manattukulam, became the victim of this fraud. Eleven lakh eighty thousand nine hundred thirty three rupees were transferred from him through his bank account. After this, neither the profits were given nor the invested amount was returned. On the complaint of Harish, a case was registered at Thrissur Rural Cyber ​​​​Crime Police Station, after which the accused was arrested. After the completion of the legal proceedings, the accused will be presented in the court.

Accused Mohammad Midhilaj got 15 people to open accounts in different banks and kept their passbooks, ATM cards and SIM cards linked to the bank with him. He used these accounts for cyber fraud. Out of the money defrauded from the complainant, Rs 50,000 was also transferred to one such account. Midhilaj is also an accused in another online job fraud case registered at Thrissur Rural Cyber ​​Police Station, in which he had defrauded Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, complaints are also registered against him under NCRP in Chennai South in Tamil Nadu and Park Street in West Bengal.
