Bhojpur Latest News: The situation suddenly became tense on Friday in Dullamchak village of Chauri police station area of Bhojpur district of Bihar, when two suspicious youths were caught by the villagers. It is said that these two youths were roaming suspiciously in the village. The villagers first stopped them, interrogated them and then started beating them.

Meanwhile, Chauri police station reached the spot and started rescuing both the youths from the clutches of the mob. The villagers allege that the police were trying to save both of them and drive them away. Sloganeering started regarding this allegation and the crowd suddenly became furious. The altercation between the police and the villagers turned into stone pelting. More than half a dozen police vehicles were damaged amid the rain of stones. Information has been received that a sub-inspector and a watchman have been injured.

During the commotion, both the suspected youths fled from the spot. Later during the search a country made pistol was recovered. Police say that due to the crowd becoming aggressive, it became difficult to keep the suspects safe.

Villagers claim that election tension has already increased. There was an incident of fighting in the village on Thursday also, but no action was taken. Villagers say that today’s police action has further worsened the atmosphere.
