In such a situation, according to Udayatithi, this time Margashirsha Amavasya will be celebrated on 20th November, Thursday.

Sunrise on this day will be at 06:48 am. Time of worship of ancestors – will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Time of worship of Vishnu – will be from 05:01 am to 05:54 am. Rahukaal – from 01:26 pm to 02:46 pm.
Margashirsha Amavasya 2025 Puja Vidhi
On this day, one should wake up early in the morning and take a bath in a holy river. Offer water to the Sun God and chant mantras. An idol or picture of Lord Vishnu should be installed by spreading a yellow cloth on a post in the home temple. Desi ghee lamp should be lit. Water, fruits, flowers, Akshat, sandalwood, clothes and sweets should be offered to Lord Vishnu. Vishnu mantras should be chanted. Also one should read Vishnu Chalisa and perform his Aarti. Tarpan of any ancestors or puja should be done for the peace of their souls. Feed animals and birds and donate to the poor.
