Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will start the ‘Tribal Gaurav Yatra’ from Ambaji on November 7. With the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi, this yatra is being organized in honor of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and the contribution of the tribal society.
Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel will start the ‘Tribal Gaurav Yatra’ from Adyashakti Dham Ambaji on Friday, November 7. This yatra is being organized on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda with the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
‘Tribal Pride Year’ organized on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, this year is being celebrated as ‘Tribal Pride Year’. Its objective is to inspire the new generation with the contribution of the tribal community in the freedom struggle and the life of Lord Birsa Munda.
The journey will take place on two routes from Ambaji to Umargam
The ‘Tribal Gaurav Yatra’ will start from two major places in Gujarat – from Ambaji in North Gujarat and Umargam in South Gujarat, which is located on the Maharashtra border. The yatra will run from November 7 to 13 and will pass through many parts of the state including 14 tribal districts.
State ministers and public representatives will be involved
In this inauguration program, Assembly Speaker Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Minister of State P.C. Baranda, Kamleshbhai Patel, Praveenbhai Mali and Swaroopji Thakor will also be present.
Programs will be filled with public awareness and public participation
During the journey, the Tribal Gaurav Rath will be welcomed by the villagers in the villages where it will reach. At the night halt places, dramas, demonstrations on the life of Lord Birsa Munda and information about government schemes will be given.
There will also be programs for health, cleanliness and service.
Health check-up camps, Seva Setu Abhiyan, mass cleanliness programs and other service-oriented activities will be organized in the villages along the Yatra route. Competitions and programs related to the life of Birsa Munda will also be organized for children, youth and society.
Public awareness will increase through painting, drama and lectures
The state government will also organize painting and elocution competitions, drama performances and film screenings in various districts, so that people can better understand the contribution of Birsa Munda.
Tribal pride festivals will also be held in 20 districts
Apart from 14 tribal districts, ‘Tribal Pride Year Celebration’ programs will also be organized in 20 other districts between November 13 and 15.
National level function at Dediapada on 15th November
In the presence of Prime Minister Modi, there will be a national celebration on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda at Dediapada on 15th November, which will be organized in the presence of Devmogra Mataji.
Gujarat will move forward with the mantra ‘Development and heritage too’
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that ‘Tribal Gaurav Rath Yatra’ will play an important role in connecting the tribal society with the mainstream of development. He expressed confidence that this visit will realize the Prime Minister’s mantra of ‘Development also, Heritage also’ and will connect Lord Birsa Munda’s slogan of ‘Our Country, Our Raj’ with the building of self-reliant India and developed India.
