Uttarakhand Police has received national honor for its excellent performance in passport verification. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar presented the award in New Delhi.
Uttarakhand Police Passport Verification Award: The Central Government has saluted the excellent work and performance of Uttarakhand Police. The state police has been awarded the National Award for doing the most tremendous and speedy work in the matter of passport verification. Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the police department on this big success and said that the biggest goal of his government is to provide facilities to the public in a transparent manner without any delay.

Uttarakhand Police has been given the ‘Institutional Performance Award for State Police’ for completing the passport work without any irregularities and on time in the financial year 2025-26. This honor was given during a program organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan of the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar handed over this award to Uttarakhand ADG Administration AP Anshuman. This is a very special honor of its kind in the entire country, which is decided on the basis of the excellent work of the police.
Uttarakhand Police Director General congratulated
Senior officials of the state have expressed happiness on this glorious moment. Director General of Police Deepam Seth said, ‘This honor is the result of the continuous hard work of our team. Our entire focus was on making the process of passport verification as easy, clean and timely as possible for the general public.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also patted the back
Patting the police on the back, CM Dhami said that providing good, non-discriminatory and timely services to the people is our first priority. This award shows that we are moving in the right direction. He expressed hope that the police will continue to bring glory to the state in future also.
