Municipal Corporation Commissioner Brijesh Singh Kshatriya inspected the underpass and pipeline works in Pragati Nagar Marine Drive area and gave instructions for quality and timeliness.
Raigarh. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Brijesh Singh Kshatriya on Friday inspected the site of the ongoing construction work in Pragati Nagar Marine Drive area. During this, he took stock of the progress of the underpass bridge and pipeline expansion projects under construction. During the inspection, the works were reviewed with officials of the concerned departments and representatives of the construction agency.
The Commissioner directed the officials that all the construction works should be completed within the stipulated time limit and the quality standards should be ensured with utmost seriousness.
Underpass Bridge Project: Special emphasis on improving traffic system
While inspecting the underpass bridge under construction, Commissioner Shri Kshatriya said that this project is very important to improve the traffic system of the area and provide easy transportation facility to the citizens. He instructed the construction agency to expedite the works by ensuring availability of necessary resources. Also said that the construction work should be completed as soon as possible and the road should be restored for use by the general public.
Special monitoring on Quality Control and Safety Standards
During the inspection, the Commissioner also obtained detailed information about the quality, security arrangements and technical aspects of the construction works. He made it clear that negligence will not be accepted at any level. He directed the officials to give priority to quality control at every stage of construction work and ensure strict adherence to all safety standards.
Pipeline Expansion Work: Water supply system will be strengthened
Along with the underpass project, the Commissioner also inspected the ongoing pipeline expansion and reconstruction works in the area. Officials said the water supply pipeline passing over the bridge is being adjusted and expanded. The purpose of this work is to prevent future disruptions in water supply due to pipeline leakage or other technical problems. The Commissioner directed the concerned officials that pipeline expansion work should be completed in a planned and systematic manner to further strengthen the drinking water supply system.
Emphasis also on civic facilities and security arrangements
Commissioner Shri Kshatriya said that special care should be taken for the facilities of common citizens during the construction works. He directed the officials that along with necessary security measures, alternative arrangements should also be made available in time, so that people do not have to face unnecessary trouble.
Urban Development Projects aim at better civic amenities
At the end of the inspection, the Commissioner said that the main objective of all the infrastructure works related to city development is to provide better facilities to the citizens. Therefore, it is necessary to complete all the projects with quality, transparency and timeliness, so that the citizens can get their benefits as soon as possible. On this occasion, officials of the concerned departments, technical staff and representatives of the construction agency were also present.
