Bihar News: The Ganges river is in spate these days due to heavy rains in Bihar. Many districts of Bihar are flood affected and many houses have entered flood waters. In such a situation, crops in thousands of acres have been submerged. A terrible situation has arisen everywhere. Due to which 14 teams of 9th Battalion NDRF are on alert mode. In which 1 team is working in Darbhanga, 1 in Supaul, 1 in Motihari, 2 in Nalanda – in which 1 team is working in Ekanga Sarai and 1 Hilsa. Along with this, 1 team has been kept in Patna. The remaining 8 teams are placed on alert mode in battalion head quarters equipped with equipment. So that it can be sent immediately if needed.
14 NDRF teams on alert mode
9th battalion NDRF Commandant Sunil Kumar Singh said that 14 teams of 9th Battalion NDRF are on alert mode to deal with disasters like floods. In which one team has been deployed in Darbhanga, Supaul, Motihari. Two teams are stationed in Nalanda, one in Ekanga Sarai and the other in the hills. Along with this, a team is also ready in Patna. In addition, 8 teams equipped with all the equipment dealing with the disaster at the battalion headquarters are prepared in alert mode, which are ready to deal with the disaster at any time, in any situation.

Flood -like situation in many districts
The bulletin issued by the Disaster Management Department states that flood -like conditions have arisen in the districts along the Ganges including Patna, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Lakhisarai and Bhagalpur. After the torrential rains, people living in the low -lying areas have been affected due to the rising water level of the Ganges and Kosi rivers. 21,700 affected people from 11 panchayats of Bhojpur district were evacuated to relief camps, while on Friday, 89,250 people have been brought to the camps of Patna. The Disaster Management Department has asked the administration of the respective districts to be vigilant and take precautionary measures. Due to the rains in the last few days, the water level of Ganga, Gandak, Kosi, Budhi Gandak, Mahananda and Kamla rivers has increased in the state.
