Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 5: Indian cinema enthusiasts are thrilled as the highly anticipated film Kannappa has finally released in theaters.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, this devotional mythological drama stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. The film features a stellar cast, including Mohan Babu, Arpit Ranka, R. Sarathkumar, Siva Balaji, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Rahul Madhav, Kaushal Manda, Preity Mukhundhan, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, and Madhoo.

The movie is based on the legendary tale of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva from Hindu mythology, known for his immense faith. Adding to the excitement, the film includes special cameos by renowned actors such as Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal. With an intriguing trailer and an impressive lineup of stars, Kannappa has been generating buzz among audiences. Released on June 27 in six languages-Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English-the film has received widespread praise from viewers.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kannappa saw a dip of 27% in numbers on second Tuesday. The movie made a collection of Rs 1.66 crores on day 5 which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 27.36 crores

Kannappa Beats Single

To note, Kannappa has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Single which had minted Rs 26.71 crores. This isn’t all. Kannappa has emerged as the 9th highest Telugu grosser of 2025.

Meanwhile, talking about Kannappa, Vishnu Manchu told Hollywood Reporter, “All versions tell us what Kannappa’s story would’ve or coudld’ve been. But the last 30 to 40 minutes of any such film, which cover the portions of God testing him, would be similar because you’ll have to follow what’s in the scriptures. The most difficult part of doing the film was the fact that everyone knows the ending. The challenge was to see how to make audiences sit for the earlier two and half hours”.
