Kalyan Banerjee Calls Party Colleague Mahua Moitra ‘Below Standard’ As TMC’s Internal Feud Drags On

In an escalatory step into TMC MP Vs TMC MP, Trinamool Congress MP from West Bengal Kalyan Banerjee called another party MP Moitra ‘below standard’ and that paying attention to her was a ‘waste of time’.

Kalyan Banerjee who recently resigned from the post of Trinamool’s chief whip in the Lok Sabha allegedly because of internal rumbling alleged that he appeared as ‘bad person’ in front of colleagues because of Mahua Moitra and that she was not worthy of his time and attention.

He further said that he waisted energy on Moitra. “It was a waste of time, I wasted my energy. She doesn’t deserve my attention. It was my mistake that I gave her attention,” he added.

He said that regular text from junior advocate brother inspired him to leave the feud as a subject as it could not be a subject for him.  “I have a junior advocate brother. He texted me. I was inspired by that and realised that Mahua Moitra is no longer a subject matter for me. I have a lot of work to do now,” he said.

TMC MP Kalyan Singh also regretted his remark against party supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

“I have also spoken against didi (Mamata Banerjee). I think it would have been better if I had not said this,” Mr Kalyan said.

When asked whether he had a conversation with CM Banerjee on Raksha Bandhan, Kalyan said that CM Banerjee blessed him thrice.
