India Squad Announcement after Virat Kohli Fitness Test: Team India is yet to be announced for the ODI series on England tour. This announcement can be made after the fitness test of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli was affected by a hamstring injury during IPL 2026, due to which he was also ruled out of the ODI series against Afghanistan. But, now before selecting the ODI team for the England tour, he will undergo a fitness test, after which it will be decided whether he will play in England or not. India’s tour of England is going to be very important for the preparation of ODI World Cup 2027.
Virat will go to COE for fitness test on June 22
According to the report of Dainik Jagran, BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru contacted Virat Kohli in London and told him about some rehabilitation programs. Virat is recovering rapidly from his hamstring injury and now on June 22, he will go to the Virat Center of Excellence, where he will undergo a fitness test. Team India will be announced for the ODI series to be played on England tour only after Virat’s fitness report comes.
Hardik is out, big update on these players
Apart from Virat Kohli, a big update has come on 5 more Indian cricketers before the team selection for the ODI series to be held in England. There is news that Hardik Pandya has not yet recovered from the injury and he will remain out of the ODI series against England. Apart from Pandya, Dhruv Jurail, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah are said to be completely fit for the ODI series to be held in England. The Center of Excellence has sent its report regarding these players to the selectors.
India-England ODI series
The ODI series between India and England will start from July 14. The first ODI will be played in Birmingham. The second ODI will be played in Cardiff on 16 July. Whereas the third and last ODI will be played at Lord’s on July 19.
