ethanol production

Ethanol production capacity in the country has increased rapidly and currently there is a capacity to produce about 2,000 crore liters of ethanol annually. In such a situation, a large amount of excess ethanol remains available, new uses for which are being explored. Ethanol can be used as cooking fuel. It is a cleaner alternative than traditional fuels like wood and coal. Its use reduces smoke and pollution, which can benefit both the environment and health.
