This student had earlier got a center in Saraswati Vidyalaya, Nagpur for the NEET examination. But after the paper leak controversy, when it was decided to re-conduct the examination, the student downloaded his new admit card. He was shocked to see the admit card because his center was shown as Abu Dhabi Indian School in UAE.

  • According to the family, while filling the application form, the student had chosen Nagpur as his first choice, Wardha as the second and Bhandara as the third.
  • He was surprised to see a foreign center on the admit card. “It is impossible for us to send the child abroad for exams. He doesn’t even have a passport, and there is no time left to prepare for the journey,” said Mohammed Talib, the student’s father.

Former Education Minister of Maharashtra said NTA’s serious mistake

Former Maharashtra Education Minister Dr. Anees Ahmed has criticized this incident. Calling it a serious mistake of the testing agency, he has demanded NTA to immediately rectify the mistake and give the center to the student in Nagpur or any nearby city. The case has raised fresh concerns amid the ongoing investigation into the functioning of the NTA.

Such changes are happening for the first time in NEET exam

  • Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made stringent security arrangements to conduct the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026 in a fair and transparent manner.
  • According to NTA, a strong security system has been implemented to ensure the integrity of the examination process. The confidential material of the examination is being sent in GPS-equipped vehicles with police protection. CCTV surveillance, Aadhaar-based biometric identification and real-time monitoring systems have also been installed at the examination centres.
  • More than two lakh employees have been mobilized to conduct this examination, which includes city coordinators, observers, center superintendents, invigilators and policemen.

No one will be allowed entry after 1:30

NTA has advised candidates to reach their examination centers between 11 am and 1:30 pm as the entry gates will close at 1:30 pm.

The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. More than 22.79 lakh candidates are expected to appear in this examination to be held on June 21.
