CM Yogi said that at that time when the country was facing the brutality of foreign invaders like Babar, when temples were being demolished, faith was being attacked, even then Guru Nanak Dev Ji was giving guidance to the society without fear and without pressure. He gave the message of eating together, helping the poor and creating a united society.

The saints of India kept the soul of the nation alive even in times of crisis.

Referring to the spirituality of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Chief Minister said that his life is proof that India is a country with a tradition of saints and great men, who kept the soul of the nation alive even in times of crisis. Yogi said that when many kings and princely states bowed down before the foreign invaders, Guru Nanak Dev Ji showed the courage to call Babar ‘Jabar’ i.e. executioner. This was the power of India’s saint tradition.

Call for unity and strength of religion in society

On this occasion, the Chief Minister called for unity in the society and strength of religion. He said that today when activities like conversion are seen in some areas, we have to further strengthen the basic spirit of Sikhism – unity, organization and service. We have to revive that feeling.

If you remain strong then everyone will respect your faith.
