Akash Deep and Mukesh will become DSP under sports quota

Bihar government has recommended Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar to be made DSP under sports quota. Considering the achievements of these two players coming from Bihar in Indian cricket, it has been decided to form DSP. The General Administration Department has prepared its proposal regarding this and sent it to the Home Department.

Achievements of Mukesh and Akash Deep

Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep were included in the list of players who won gold medals for India in the last Asian Games. Apart from that, both of them have also made a name for themselves in red ball and white ball cricket. Mukesh Kumar has taken 32 wickets in 27 international matches played for India so far. He has played 3 Tests, 17 T20s and 7 ODIs. Akash Deep has so far represented India only in red ball cricket. He has played 10 tests so far, in which he has taken 28 wickets. His best performance in an inning during this period was taking 6 wickets for 99 runs.

Akash Deep got good news before marriage

Being made DSP is an even bigger deal for Akash Deep because he got this good news just before his marriage. Akash Deep is going to get married on 24th of this month. That means, he will not only join the ranks of players becoming DSP of Team India, apart from that he will also join the club of married players.
