Another terrible mistake of NTA: Nagpur student’s center sent to Abu Dhabi, not even passport nearby! | Nta Neet Reexam Student Abu Dhabi Exam Center Passport Error Nagpur Controversy

Did a technical glitch by NTA send Nagpur student to Abu Dhabi exam centre? When the student does not have a passport, then how is the examination center allotted abroad? Has major negligence in the examination system been exposed again before the NEET re-exam? Will the revised admit card be received on time or will the student’s future be in jeopardy?

NEET Re Exam 2026: The controversy arising over the country’s biggest medical entrance examination NEET-UG is not showing any signs of stopping. Just before the NEET re-examination (Re-NEET) to be held on June 21, such a horrifying and shocking negligence of the National Testing Agency (NTA) has come to light, which has shaken the entire country. This time, the agency, already surrounded by allegations of NEET paper leak, has played such a ‘cruel joke’ with the future of a student that everyone is shocked to know. The examination center of an ordinary student of Nagpur was allotted not in the country but directly across the seven seas in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Cities of Maharashtra were given preference, suspense of ‘Abu Dhabi’ appeared on admit card!

This strange and heart-wrenching case is of Abdullah Mohammad, a student from Nagpur. Along with more than 22 lakh students, Abdullah was also preparing to try his luck again on June 21. While filling the examination form, Abdullah had given preference to nearby cities like Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara in his center options. Earlier, in the main examination he had got the center in Nagpur only. But as soon as Abdullah and his parents downloaded the admit card for the re-exam, the ground slipped under their feet; NTA had directly allotted the examination center of ‘Abu Dhabi’, bypassing all its options.

Travel abroad in 24 hours without passport and visa? Crisis on exams deepens

The biggest and shocking suspense in this entire incident is that the victim student Abdullah Mohammad does not even have his passport at present. Only 24 to 48 hours are left for the exam and in such a situation, it is completely impossible for any ordinary citizen to get a passport made, get a UAE visa and book a plane ticket to reach Abu Dhabi so quickly. According to NTA rules, centers abroad are only for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and international students, so how a domestic student from India got this center remains a big mystery.

‘The exam was ruined!’… huge anger in political circles

As soon as this news spread, there was an uproar in the politics of Maharashtra. Former Maharashtra government minister and senior Congress leader Dr. Anees Ahmed expressed deep displeasure over this issue. While talking to the media, he made a scathing attack and said that NTA has ruined the prestigious examination system of this country. Questioning the government’s claims of conducting a ‘transparent examination’, he demanded that the student should be immediately issued a revised admit card so that his entire year can be saved from being wasted.

Complaint on helpline and that last deadline of ‘4 pm’

Amidst this terrible mental stress, the student and his family immediately lodged an emergency complaint on the NTA helpline. After immense pressure, officials finally admitted it was a “technical error”. Congress leader Anees Ahmed said that after contacting the officials, he has received assurance that by 4 pm today, the student will be allotted a local center in Nagpur and a new admit card will be issued. However, until the new hall ticket comes into Abdullah’s hands, his dream of becoming a doctor and his entire family go through a scary suspense and mental torture.
