Amazing view of Dev Diwali in Varanasi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lit the first lamp

On the auspicious occasion of Dev Diwali in Varanasi, the city was illuminated with lakhs of lamps on the Ganga ghats. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the first lamp. A total of more than 15 lakh lamps were lit at ghats, temples and ponds.

Varanasi: When the flame of eternal light was lit on the crescent-shaped Ganga ghats of Kashi on the holy festival of Dev Diwali on Wednesday evening, the entire city was immersed in a wonderful confluence of divinity and grandeur. The light of millions of lamps burning on the stairs of faith emerging from the lap of Mother Ganga presented such a scene as if heaven had come down to earth. In the twilight, when the golden glow of the lamps flickered on the waves of the North-flowing Ganga, the soul of Kashi once again became illuminated with the light of eternal culture.

CM Yogi Adityanath lit the first lamp

Dev Diwali was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by lighting the first lamp at Namo Ghat. Along with him, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, Minister of State Ravindra Jaiswal, MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, District Panchayat President Poonam Maurya, Mayor Ashok Tiwari also paid homage to Mother Ganga by lighting the lamp. After this, all the distinguished guests boarded the cruise and witnessed the wonderful sight of Dev Diwali decorated on the ghats along with the Aarti of Mother Ganga. Seeing CM Yogi among them, the public also shouted ‘Har Har Mahadev’. The Chief Minister greeted the people and tourists of Kashi by shaking hands.

Tribute from Amar Jawan Jyoti at Dashashwamedh Ghat

Giving the message of nationalism along with religion, a replica of ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ was installed at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Here, tribute was paid to the brave martyrs of the Kargil war. Dev Diwali Mahotsav was dedicated in the name of Operation Sindoor, in which the brave mothers of the country were paid tribute.

Entire Kashi illuminated with 15 lakh lamps

This time the target of 10 lakh lamps was set by the Yogi government, but due to public participation this number increased to 15 to 25 lakh lamps. These lamps also included eco-friendly lamps made from 1 lakh cow dung. A series of lamps on ghats, ponds, ponds and temples decorated Kashi like a golden garland.

Kashi-Katha 3D show becomes center of attraction at Chet Singh Ghat

The confluence of modernity with tradition was seen at Chet Singh Ghat, where a 25-minute 3D projection mapping show ‘Kashi-Katha’ was presented. In this, the scene of Lord Shiva-Parvati marriage, Lord Vishnu’s Chakra Pushkarini, Lord Buddha’s teachings, Bhakti tradition of Kabir-Das and Tulsidas and the journey to Kashi Hindu University established by Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya were brought alive.

Green crackers show on sand across Ganga created a stir

The ‘Choreographed and Synchronized Green Crackers Show’ on the sands across the Ganges mesmerized the tourists. The musical fireworks echoing in the sky and the colors reflecting on the waves of Ganga made the scene even more divine.

Glimpse of nationalism along with spirituality in Maha Aarti

In the Maha Aarti of Dashashwamedh Ghat, 21 Archakas and 42 Dev girls performed Aarti in the form of Riddhi-Siddhi. When the sound of conch shells and gongs echoed on the ghat decorated with 21 quintals of flowers and 51 thousand lamps, the atmosphere was filled with amazing energy. On this occasion, the immortal brave warriors were honored with ‘Bhagirath Shaurya Samman’.

Special decoration and aarti in Kashi Vishwanath Dham

Special worship took place at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Dev Diwali. Baba’s court was decorated grandly with flowers and lights. The entire complex of the Dham was illuminated with the light of lamps, where there was a huge crowd of devotees.

The security system remained impenetrable in water, land and sky.

In view of the crowd of devotees and VVIP presence, Varanasi was declared a no-fly zone. There was a ban on flying drones without permission. NDRF and water police teams were deployed at the ghats with boats, modern equipment and water ambulances. Lanes were determined for boats on the river route. Sailors were instructed to follow prescribed directions and safety rules. Traffic, parking and entry-exit arrangements on the roads remained completely controlled. For the safety of women, plainclothes women policemen, anti Romeo squads and QRT teams were deployed.
