The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced Team India for the two-match Test series against South Africa. This series will be played between the two teams from November 14. The command of the team is in the hands of Shubman Gill, who is currently playing T20 series on Australia tour. At the same time, a star player has also returned to the team, who could not be a part of the last home Test series due to injury.
Star player returns to the team
Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been selected in the team for this series, who is also the vice-captain. Pant had to face injury during the England tour. Due to which he could not play the home Test series against West Indies. But he is now completely fit and has managed to make a comeback in the team. Apart from him, Akash Deep has also returned to the team, who was not a part of the team in the last series. Apart from these, the rest of the selected players had also played in the previous Test series.
These two players were thrown out
At the same time, two players who were part of the last Test series have not been selected in the team this time. These two players are wicketkeeper batsman N Jagadeesan and fast bowler Prasidh Krishna. Both these players did not get a chance to play even a single match against West Indies and now they have missed out on a place in the team. Let us tell you, the first match of this series will be played at Eden Garden, Kolkata from 14 to 18 November. After this the second test will be held at ACA Stadium in Guwahati. Then an ODI series will also be played between the two teams.
