Pay attention to some special things while looking at the credit report. If you see a loan or credit card for which you never applied, it is a red flag. Additionally, an incorrect account number, an unfamiliar bank or company name, or a credit inquiry you did not approve—these are all “red flags.” If you see something like this, take immediate action, otherwise your credit score may get damaged.
