RCB-CSK’s memorable matches
RCB made it to their second IPL final in 2011. After suffering a heartbreak in the IPL 2009 final, RCB were hoping to end their wait to win the IPL title. Asked to chase a big target of 206, RCB managed a score of 147/8 in 20 overs. Virat, who was one of the stars of India’s World Cup win, scored 35 off 32 in the final. CSK created history by winning the IPL 2011 trophy as they became the first team to win back-to-back IPL titles.
13 years later, RCB ended CSK’s hopes of making it to the second round by defeating them in their last league stage game. CSK entered IPL 2024 as the defending champions. RCB finally ended their title drought by winning the IPL 2025 trophy.
