On the eve of Dev Diwali, young artists presented bhajans on the melodious tunes of tabla and harmonium at Ganga Ghat in Varanasi. The sound waves and notes of devotion resonating on the ghats made the atmosphere sacred. The ghat echoed with hymns like “Har Har Gange” and “Jai Gange Mata”. These artists said that this is not just a concert, but a worship dedicated to Mother Ganga. This glimpse seen on the ghats of Kashi before Dev Diwali shows that devotion, music and culture breathe together in Banaras.
