Heavy Rain Alert on 10 August: Monsoon is raining this time in North India. In such a situation, IMD has expressed mild to heavy rains in other states including Delhi-NCR Haryana Punjab Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on 10 August.
Weather Update: This time the monsoon has knocked strongly in North India. On Saturday, there was light rain in Delhi throughout the day, causing waterlogging and traffic jam in many areas. The Meteorological Department has today predicted light to heavy rains in many states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
How will the weather be in UP-Bihar?
Rivers in Uttar Pradesh are in spate due to continuous rains on the mountains. The water level of the Ganges in Fatehpur is 24 cm above the warning point, while the Ganga in Shahjahanpur has reached 35 cm above the danger mark and 199.44 meters in Hapur. In Kannauj, Unnao and Badaun, the Ganges is also flowing close to or above the danger mark. The water level of the Ganges has started decreasing in Varanasi and Purvanchal, but the water level of Saryu river is increasing in Mau and Azamgarh. Flood water has entered many places due to the rapid rise in the water level of Ganga and Budhi Gandak rivers in Bihar.
The coldest day of August in Delhi
After continuous rains, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 26.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday, which is 7.8 degrees below normal. It has been the coldest day of the month of August in the last 14 years.

Rain alert in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued alert for heavy rainfall for several states on 10 August. There is a possibility of very heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh from 11 to 14 August. Arunachal Pradesh may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall between August 7 to 12. At the same time, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected on 7, 8, 12 and 13 August in Assam and Meghalaya. Apart from this, a warning of heavy rain has been issued on 7 and 8 August in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
