Tata Sierra EV First Teaser OUT – 500+ Range, AWD & Expected Price

Tata Motors has released the first teaser of the production-ready Sierra EV, which is set to debut on June 30, 2026. The official images showcased an aggressive-looking front fascia featuring a closed-off grille, redesigned bumper and a revised nose. Design elements such as sleek LED headlamps, silver skid plate and upright stance appear similar to its ICE counterpart.

While the electric SUV will be fully revealed at launch day, it’s likely to sport newly-designed aero-optimized alloy wheels, a blacked-out roof and a distinctive kink in the B-pillar. Other highlights will include flush door handles, a sharply raked windscreen, thick gloss-black cladding, a dual-tone rear bumper with a faux silver skid plate and a full-width light band.

Even the base variant will be well-equipped with features such as rear AC vents, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, part digital gauge cluster with 4-inch MID, Type-A and 45W Type-C USB ports at the front, speed sensing door locks, all wheel disc brakes, 6 airbags, hill hold assist, traction control and more.

Multiple Battery Options

Built on the Acti.ev+ platform, the Tata Sierra EV is expected to share the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs with the Harrier EV. Tata Motors has already confirmed that the EV will be available with both RWD and AWD configuration options. The 75kWh, dual-motor AWD setup could be exclusive to the top-end variants. The Sierra EV is expected to offer a driving range of over 500km on a full charge.

Expected Price & Competition

As far as pricing is concerned, the Tata Sierra EV is expected to be priced around Rs 18 lakh for the base variant and nearly Rs 25 lakh for the top trim (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will take on the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara and Mahindra BE 6.
