Sheeba made a significant mark in Indian cinema with her roles in Badhaai Do and Doctor G. She started her journey in 1998. Her debut movie was a huge hit – Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala’s Dil Se. Though the role was small, it was an impactful one. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she talked about her Bollywood journey. She revealed who her college senior is, whose mother she played on screen.
Sheeba Chaddha Played Manisha Koirala’s Body Double in Dil Se
Sheeba talked about her first film in the conversation with Siddharth Kannan. She said, “I had almost no role in ‘Dil Se’. It was so small that I don’t even remember what that role was. But the fact that I got a chance to shoot in Dalhousie and see Shahrukh Khan. Manisha Koirala was not there when I went for the shoot. One day, Manisha was not on the set due to some other work and she had to take a very important shot in the snow. For this, Mani Ratnam personally came to me and asked me if I could become a body double by wearing Manisha’s costume.”
Apart from Dil Se, Sheeba also worked with SRK in movies like Raees and Zero, where she played his mother. She also revealed that King Khan is her college senior.
