Hanuman

Hanuman Ji Story: Ramayana is a sacred and very important book of Hindu religion. The life of Lord Shri Ram and his exploits have been described in detail in Ramayana. From Shri Ram’s childhood to his 14 years of going to the forest, abduction of Sita, killing of Ravana, return from Lanka and many other things are described in Ramayana. Apart from Lord Shri Ram, his great devotee Hanuman ji has also been described in detail in Ramayana.

Apart from Ramayana, Ramcharit Manas also tells about Lord Shri Ram and his supreme devotee. Hanuman ji was very powerful since his childhood, but when Hanuman ji was a child, he used to use these powers for mischief. According to the story of Ramayana, Hanuman ji used to do a lot of mischief even when he went to the forest. Many times, with his mischief, he used to disturb the meditation, worship and havan of the sages.

The sages had cursed Hanumanji

One day, being troubled by the mischiefs of Hanuman ji, sage Angira and the sages of Bhrigrivansh cursed him. Sage Angira and the sages of Bhrigrivansh told Hanuman ji that he would forget all his powers and strength. After this, when Hanuman ji asked for forgiveness from the sages, his heart melted. He told Hanuman ji that when the time comes and he reminds him, he will remember his powers again.

According to Ramayana, after the abduction of Mother Sita, a group of lakhs of monkeys including Mahavir Hanuman had gone towards the south from Kishkindha in search of Mother Sita. When everyone reached the beach, Sampati, the elder brother of the vulture king Jatayu on the mountain, told Hanuman ji and all the monkeys that King Ravana of Lanka has taken Mother Sita to Lanka.

Richhraj Jamwant had reminded Shakti

Sampati told that his eyes could see Ravana’s palace and to bring back Mother Sita he would have to cross the ocean. Hearing this, the monkeys and bears sat down on the seashore in despair. Meanwhile, bear king Jamwant’s eyes fell on Hanuman ji. After this Richraj Jamwant reminded Bajrangbali of his strength and powers.

According to Shri Ramcharitmanas, Jamwant says-

“Where is bear bearer, listen Hanuman, keep quiet and be strong.”

Wind Tensile Force Wind Samana. Wisdom, wisdom and subject matters.

Kavan so kaj difficult jagmahi. Whatever is not there, you are my father.

Bear king Jamwant said to Hanuman ji, O strong one! Listen, why are you silent? You are the son of the wind and are like the wind in strength. You are a mine of intelligence and science. What is such a difficult task in the world that you cannot do? Here Hanuman ji was listening to all the words of Richhraj Jamwant, but was not giving any reaction. After this Rikshraj said-

“Ram kaj lagi tav avatara. Suntahi bhayu parvata kara”.

Hey Hanuman! You have incarnated for the work of Lord Shri Ram. On hearing this, Hanuman ji remembered all his strength and powers and his body became the size of a mountain.
