Ashirwad Suryavanshi: Suryavanshi family of Motipur village located in Tajpur of Samastipur district of Bihar is already in the news because of young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Now another member of the family is attracting people’s attention. Vaibhav’s younger brother, 10-year-old Ashirwad Suryavanshi, has given such performance in his initial cricket journey, which has impressed everyone. Ashirwad scored a brilliant century in his very first match played for Cricket Academy Tajpur. This young player, who started playing cricket just 6 months ago, scored 103 runs on 87 balls in a practice match. His innings included 20 fours and one six.
Name came into discussion due to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s post
Although, this innings was played in a local level cricket match, but it started being discussed in the entire country when Vaibhav Suryavanshi shared the screenshot of his younger brother’s scorecard on social media. Vaibhav is currently representing the India A team during the tri-series in Sri Lanka. After this post made by him, the eyes of cricket lovers also fell on Ashirwad Suryavanshi and people became curious to know about him.
Created identity in just six months
This achievement of Ashirwad is also considered special because he started playing cricket only six months ago. Scoring a century in such a short time shows his talent and hard work. Chandra Deep, director of Cricket Academy Tajpur and coach of Ashirwad, told in an interview that Ashirwad learned the nuances of the game very fast. He started playing cricket only 6 months ago. He learned to hold the bat and make the right grip very quickly.
The journey started from the same ground where Vaibhav learned cricket
Ashirwad’s cricket journey has started in the same environment from where Vaibhav Suryavanshi had given shape to his dreams. Two pitches for practice have been set up behind the family home. Of these, one pitch is made of concrete and the other is made of clay. Vaibhav had strengthened his batting by practicing for hours on these pitches in his childhood. Now Ashirwad is also following the same path and practicing regularly on the same pitches.
Special training is available on different pitches
According to coach Chandra Deep, the nature of both the pitches is different and this prepares the players for different conditions. He told that on a cement pitch the ball comes at a very high speed, whereas on a clay pitch the ball swings, turns and spins. Also, sometimes the ball comes to rest, which makes batting difficult. The coach believes that these pitches have played a big role in improving Vaibhav’s game and now Ashirwad is also working hard in the same way.
Vaibhav vs Ashirvad: What is the difference between Vaibhav and Ashirvad?
Although it is natural for the two brothers to be compared, their playing styles are quite different. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a left-handed batsman and can also bowl spin if needed. Whereas Ashirwad is a right-handed batsman and bowls medium pace with his right arm. Ashirwad sees himself as an all-rounder and wants to contribute with batting as well as bowling.
Interest in cricket increased after seeing elder brother
Ashirwad has seen Vaibhav practicing and playing matches since childhood. Be it at home or the cricket field, he has always been watching his elder brother’s game carefully. Gradually, his interest in cricket also increased and he decided to take up this game himself. According to coach Chandra Deep, Ashirwad is quite calm by nature and likes to concentrate on his game rather than talking much.
Biggest fan of Vaibhav’s success
If anyone celebrates the success of Vaibhav Suryavanshi the most, it is Blessings. During Vaibhav’s brilliant performance in IPL 2026 and his excellent game in the Under-19 World Cup, Ashirwad celebrated by bursting crackers at home. Whenever Vaibhav’s match comes on TV, he watches it with full attention and takes inspiration from his elder brother.
Cover drive favorite shot, fish is the most favorite food
Like other young cricketers, Ashirwad also has a favorite shot. He likes playing cover drive the most. A major part of his daily routine is dedicated to cricket. In the morning he does fitness and physical training, after which he practices batting for a long time. Apart from cricket, if he is most fond of anything, it is fish. He likes fish very much to eat. Interestingly, while Vaibhav was fond of eating mutton in his childhood, Ashirwad’s first choice is fish.
