Jaipur Court Bribery: A day before Rakshabandhan, two employees of the Rajasthan government got their department a splash. The Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken major action against both. In the capital Jaipur, the ACB team arrested the police constable and a fourth class employee of the court red handed from the court premises. Both are accused of demanding bribe from a complainant to get a redemption order.

Put the job for only 600 rupees

According to the ACB headquarters, the Jaipur city-first unit had received a complaint that constable Deepchand Meena, posted at Shastri Nagar police station, is seeking a bribe of Rs 600 to get a redemption order from a complainant. He contacted ACB after the complainant was repeatedly harassed. The complaint was verified, in which the allegations were found to be true.

Accused caught in Jaipur court premises

On Saturday, the ACB team caught the fourth class IV employee Ghulam Safwan, working in the court premises in the court premises and taking a bribe of Rs 400 to the Class IV employee working in the court, Additional Civil and Judicial Magistrate Court No. 11, Jaipur Mahanagar II. This bribe was being taken in the name of taking forward the process of issuing the redemption order from the complainant.

Complete action taken under the supervision of senior officers

  • The operation was conducted under the supervision of Anand Sharma, the leadership of Superintendent of Police Bhupendra, Additional Superintendent of Police of ACB Jaipur Nagar. The team consisted of several officers and jawans including Deputy Superintendent Neeraj Gurnani. After the arrest, both the accused are being brought to the police station and questioning.
  • CB Director General Smita Srivastava said that there are instructions from the government to strict action in corruption cases. Trap action is being taken immediately after verification on receiving complaints of bribe by any officer or employee. He appealed to the general public to complain of corruption without fear.
  • At present, further investigation is going on by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against both the accused. This action of ACB once again proves that briberyrs will no longer be spared under any circumstances.
