New Delhi is continuously buying oil from Russia amidst the decisions of President Donald Trump to impose 25 per cent of Indian items over tariffs between India and America and it is not even in the mood to take any decision on this purchase. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said during a program that India “will not bow down to anyone”.
On the question related to India’s future association with global trade groups at a news channel program, the Union Minister said that today the country is “quite strong and confident”, which is growing at a rate of six and a half percent annually and is moving towards fast.

However, dismissing the idea that the world is facing “deglobalization”, he believes that the countries are only restructuring their trade routes and partners. He added, “I am confident that India will export more than last year,” and also said that measures are already being taken to combat trade obstacles. India’s goods and service exports stood at US $ 82.5 million in FY 2024-25.
On the future free trade agreements, Union Minister Goyal said that India’s approach has now developed further with the demand for tariff concessions. Recalling the conversation with the four countries EFTA blocks, he said, “We are 4 trillion US $, and the fastest growing big economy in the world. We have the power of youth, while your population is getting old.”

He said that EFTA Nations has agreed to invest US $ 100 billion in India, and due to this, 10 lakhs will be straightforward jobs, along with employment and about 50 lakh jobs in total. He said, “The EFTA agreement will be implemented from October 1 and its benefits will be seen.”
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also criticized the Congress MP to call the Indian economy “dead” and said that the country will never forget the Congress rule. He said, “It is shameful to make negative rhetoric on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition. I condemn him for this, and to be honest, our country will never forgive such derogatory comments about Rahul Gandhi being presented by India to the world.”
Highlighting the increasing challenges at the global level and the economic strength of India, Piyush Goyal said that the currency, foreign exchange reserves, stock markets and infrastructure of the country remain strong, and our inflation is the lowest in the world than other emerging economies.

He said, “The whole world recognizes us as the growing economy, which contributes 16 percent to global development.” He further said that 140 crore youth, skilled and ambitious citizens of India are a powerful attraction for global partners.
The Union Minister also mentioned the major changes in India since 2000. He credited the creation of thousands of jobs in the country to the IT industry and reminded how the country turned the Korona epidemic crisis into an opportunity. He also assured, “India will always be victorious in a challenging time.”
