After the arrest of Anant Singh in Mokama, Union Minister Lalan Singh took charge of the election campaign. He did a road show with Samrat Chaudhary and called it a conspiracy. Singh called upon the workers to contest the elections with high morale.
The election activity in Mokama assembly constituency became more intense when after the arrest of JDU candidate Anant Singh and sending him to jail, Union Minister and senior JDU leader Lalan Singh himself took charge of the election campaign. On Sunday, Lalan Singh led a huge road show in Mokama, in which a convoy of hundreds of vehicles passed through. Along with Lalan Singh, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary was also present in this road show. This was the first major show of political strength after the arrest of Anant Singh, aimed at maintaining the morale of the workers and uniting the voters.
Every worker will contest elections as Anant Singh
Addressing the Mokama rally, Union Minister Lalan Singh directly described the Dularchand Yadav murder case as a “conspiracy”. On the arrest of Anant Singh, he said, “When Anant Babu was there, my responsibility was less, today he is not there so I have taken charge of the Mokama elections from today.” Lalan Singh instilled enthusiasm among the workers and supporters and said, “It is the responsibility of all of us that every person should contest the elections by becoming Anant Singh. The morale has to be kept completely high. We have to respond to this conspiracy by keeping the morale high.”
‘Respected Nitish’s rule of law’
Lalan Singh linked the incident of Anant Singh going to jail with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ‘rule of law’. He said that Anant Singh respected Nitish Kumar’s rule of law and it is because of respect that he is not here today. He claimed that the matter is being thoroughly investigated by the police and “the conspiracy will soon be exposed” and the perpetrators will be given the harshest punishment.
The Union Minister appealed, “The whole of Bihar is now praising Nitish-Modi, we are contesting the elections under the leadership of Nitish ji.” He assured the workers that there is no role of conspiracy and this incident did not happen on its own and the entire conspiracy will be exposed in the police investigation.
