New Delhi Traffic Jam: Before Rakshabandhan, many areas of New Delhi got heavy jams. Anand Vihar bus stand and railway station saw the highest crowd.
New Delhi Traffic Jam: Before Rakshabandhan, there was a lot of traffic jam in many areas of Delhi on Friday. The path which was usually followed in half an hour took people to complete it for one and a half to two hours. Most of the jam was on Anand Vihar Bus Adda, Anand Vihar railway station, Ghazipur and Chaudhary Charan Marg.
People were leaving for their house
Millions of people from these places were leaving for different districts of Uttar Pradesh, due to which the roads were completely filled with congestion. Apart from this, areas like Shahdara, Vivek Vihar and Yamuna Bazaar in East Delhi were also jammed. Traffic was also slow in many parts of South Delhi. Mandi House, Tilak Marg, ITO, Vikas Marg, Ajmeri Gate Railway Station, Paharganj, Sadar Bazar and Chandni Chowk in New Delhi district were also jammed in the evening.

Traffic jam on the road
According to police officials, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, in the evening, a large number of people came out for shopping from their private vehicles, increasing traffic jams. Also, due to lack of parking in the markets, people used to park their vehicles anywhere, causing roads and jam.
People had a lot of trouble due to jam
From five o’clock in the evening to ten o’clock in the evening, people in many areas of Delhi faced traffic jams. This heavy jam reduced the joy of people’s holidays a bit. Police and traffic officials advised people to travel prematurely and use public transport where possible so that this congestion can be avoided. Overall, people faced a lot of problems due to traffic jams in Delhi amidst the preparations for the Rakshabandhan festival, which could increase further in the coming days.
