He told that there will be a sequel to this superhit movie. He and writer Abhijat Joshi are currently working on the script. However, he said that this time the story will not be based on college life, but will show the story of future life.

Focus on the story after 15-20 years

The story of the sequel will have moved forward by about 15–20 years. It will be shown what Rancho, Farhan and Raju are doing in their respective lives now. All three characters are now married and have children. At this stage they may be facing new responsibilities and “mid-life crisis” in their life.

At the end of the first film, Rancho (Aamir Khan) had settled in Ladakh as a teacher, Farhan (R. Madhavan) had become a wildlife photographer and Raju (Sharman Joshi) had become successful in his career. Now in the sequel, the life of these three will be shown at a new turn.

Will old characters also return?

There is a possibility of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s return in the film. Apart from this, old characters like Boman Irani, Mona Singh and Javed Jaffrey may also return, although this has not been confirmed yet. Omi Vaidya’s popular character “Chatur” is also in discussion among the fans.
