Shiv Sena UTB Crisis: Political game starts again in Maharashtra! Can ‘Operation Tiger’ change the equation? There is a tussle from Matoshree to power! Will there be a major split in the Uddhav group? With whom will Uddhav Thackeray’s MPs go? Who has the real Shiv Sena?
Mumbai: On Friday, the stir in Maharashtra politics intensified when both factions of Shiv Sena celebrated the foundation day of the party separately. Amidst this hubbub, speculations about “Operation Tiger” also intensified, in which there are reports of possible defection from the Uddhav Thackeray camp.
Amidst the celebration, there is a tussle from mother to power!
- In Mumbai, posters and banners of both the camps were visible in specific areas like Bandra, Kalanagar and Matoshree. On one side was Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and on the other side was Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray. From these posters, the ongoing political tussle between the two groups was clearly visible even after the split of the party in 2022.
- This year the celebration of Foundation Day has also become special because there is heated discussion in the political circles regarding “Operation Tiger”. It is being said that many MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) are in touch with Shinde led Shiv Sena and they may join the ruling alliance.
Uddhav group’s concern increased due to ‘Operation Tiger’
The discussion gained further momentum when Shiv Sena MLC Chandrakant Raghuvanshi claimed that six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs have expressed confidence in Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and have already joined his faction. However, there has been no official confirmation from the concerned MPs regarding this claim.
With whom will Uddhav’s MPs go?
- This political rift in Shiv Sena came in 2022, when Eknath Shinde along with a large number of MLAs rebelled against the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, due to which the party got divided into two parts. After a long political and legal battle, the Election Commission recognized the Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena and allotted it the party’s traditional ‘bow and arrow’ symbol. At the same time, the faction led by Uddhav Thackeray came to be known as Shiv Sena (UBT).
- Now when both the camps are claiming their political power and legacy on the foundation day of the party, all eyes are on the activities related to “Operation Tiger”. It is believed that there may be more stir in the politics of Maharashtra in the coming days.
