In view of the scorching heat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to increase the number of Jal Seva Kendras at major pilgrimage sites in the state, including Ayodhya. As per the government’s instructions, Jal Jeevan Mission will run more than 3000 Jal Seva Kendras in these cities. These Jal Seva Kendras will work like a big drinking water stall. Here, passersby, devotees and the general public will be able to get clean and cold water to drink in the summer. According to the information, these Jal Seva Kendras will be set up near hospitals, railway stations, bus stands, markets, temples and religious places in the city.
The special thing is that this system has started in the state immediately after the instructions of the Chief Minister. This service of providing cool drinking water to everyone will be completely free. The entire expense will be borne by NGOs, companies and agencies associated with Jal Jeevan Mission. After the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Anurag Srivastava, Principal Secretary of Namami Gange Department has instructed the officials to start Jal Seva Kendra in all the cities.
Ayodhya will have the most number of water service centres
Ayodhya, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Lucknow are such cities of UP where the number of devotees and passersby is high. More than 51 Jal Seva Kendras will be built here. Jal Seva Kendras will be set up every 2 km on all the roads leading to Ram Mandir and major religious places in Ayodhya. So that the devotees do not face any kind of problem in the heat. Similar measures will also be taken in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj and Lucknow. Apart from this, 40 Jal Seva Kendras will be started in small districts.
Clean and cold water for the poor even outside their homes
The poor will benefit the most from the UP government’s Jal Seva Kendras. They will be able to get clean cold water even outside the house without any expense. Usually, due to the absence of Jal Seva Kendras at public places, one has to spend money. Due to this, the poor are not able to buy water, due to which they remain at risk of heat stroke.
