23 Home Guard jawans who were on election duty to complete the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, have been admitted to the hospital after their condition deteriorated. Out of these, 6 jawans have died while the condition of 2 is still critical. Doctors say that when these jawans were brought for treatment, all of them had high fever and high blood pressure. It is suspected that these jawans died due to extreme heat.
