Teri Meri Doriyaann Update: Produced by Cockrow Entertainment and Shaika Films together, Teri Meri Doriyaann premiered on Star Plus in January last year and has captivated audiences ever since.

Starring Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar as the lead characters Angad and Sahiba, the show was performing consistently well on the TRP charts, outperforming numerous prime-time shows across various channels.

However, in the past few months, the ratings of Teri Meri Doriyaann witnessed a dip leaving the makers worried. Soon after, a six-year leap was introduced in the much-loved show with Angad and Sahiba’s separation. Also, Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh’s Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin co-star Yogendra Vikram Singh was introduced as Diljeet, the new man in Sahiba’s life.

Initially, Yogendra received love and appreciation for his portrayal of Diljeet in Teri Meri Dooriyaann. However, as the storyline took a post-leap turn, the makers decided to depict his character in a negative light. Unfortunately, this alteration failed to resonate with the show’s loyal fanbase. Despite the changes, the show struggled to achieve the desired TRP ratings.

Recent reports suggested that Yogendra Vikram Singh aka Diljeet will soon exit. In a recent interview, the talented actor finally reacted to the ongoing buzz and confirmed that his character is indeed bidding to viewers. Yes, you read that right!

Confirming the same, Yogendra Vikram Singh told Pinkvillla, “We are in the times wherein there’s a lot of competition on small screens. The track didn’t garner the amount of ratings that the makers expected and now, it’s their decision to bring new major twist with Diljeet’s death and it is only fair. While I was disappointed initially, now, I feel content. I am satisfied with my performance and I have grown as an actor through my journey in the show.”

On being asked how he felt after his much-loved character turned negative in Teri Meri Doriyaann, the actor stated, “Well, I was in a dilemma when the character turned negative because people were loving Diljeet and he was such a beautiful person. However, when I witnessed the trust and faith of the makers in me that I’d look convincing enough as an obsessive lover, I took the challenge heads on and I’m glad that people loved this shade of the character as well.”
