Delhi Traffic Advisory For August 15: In a bid to ensure smooth traffic flow on the occasion of Independence Day 2025, the Traffic Police has announced restrictions on the movement of all types of vehicles from August 12 to August 15. In a meeting held on Thursday, Dr Rajesh Mohan, DCP Traffic, announced that the entry of heavy vehicles into Delhi will be restricted from 5 PM on August 12 to 12 PM on August 13. In addition, entry into Delhi will be completely restricted from 5 PM on August 14 to 12 PM on August 15.

According to the traffic police, the entry of heavy goods vehicles into Delhi will be banned from 5 PM on August 12 to 12 noon on August 13.
Following this, entry into the Delhi border will be prohibited from 5 PM on August 14 to 12 noon on August 15. Entry of heavy goods vehicles from National Highway 48 and other countries into Delhi will be completely prohibited, Jagran.com reported.

There will be no restrictions on vehicles carrying essential goods like milk, fruits, vegetables, ambulances, fire brigades, etc., while going towards Delhi.
Additionally, there will be no restrictions on passenger vehicles going to the airport via NH-48. Passengers can also easily go to the airport by using their vehicles via the Dwarka Expressway.
There will be no restrictions of any kind on the vehicles going from Gurugram to other districts like Palwal, Mewat, Faridabad, Jhajjar, Rewari and Rajasthan.
A meeting was held on Thursday to assess the preparations for Independence Day. During the meeting, Mohan gave instructions to all the officers and traffic inspectors about the effective management of traffic during Independence Day celebrations.
