The central government’s response has now come to the questions raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi about the involvement of 1 crore new voters in Maharashtra. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju said that the allegations are completely baseless and the Congress only wants to tarnish the image of the Election Commission. He said that when the Congress won in the Lok Sabha, the same voter list was good, but started questioning it as soon as he lost. Rijiju also said that the Congress targets Parliament, Supreme Court and constitutional institutions whenever he wants.
