ICC Women’s World Cup 2025: After a long journey of 33 days and 30 matches, the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 has reached its destination. The 31st and last match of the tournament will be played on Sunday 2 November, in which the world champion will be decided. 11 players each from India and South Africa will step into the DY Patil Stadium to create history. But there will be only one winner and whoever wins the title this time will create history because both the teams are close to becoming champions for the first time. Not only by lifting the trophy, but this time the team that becomes champion will also create new history by winning the most prize money.
This special final will be played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday. This is going to happen after 25 years, when a new team will become champion in the Women’s World Cup. The Indian team has played the finals twice and had to face defeat both times. Whereas the South African team has reached the final for the first time. In such a situation, this final has already made its place in history and the result on Sunday will make it one of the most special World Cup finals forever.
World champion will get record reward
This time’s World Cup has already broken many records ranging from big scores to centuries and number of spectators. Sunday’s final has already been housefull and along with all these records, the biggest prize money till date has also added to the World Cup final. ICC Chairman Jay Shah had announced record prize money even before the start of the tournament, which is more than any other Men’s World Cup.
Yes, this time the team that wins the Women’s World Cup will get 4.48 million dollars i.e. about Rs 40 crore. In the Men’s World Cup 2023 played in India, the champion team received 4 million dollars. That means the winning team is going to be very rich. Whereas the runner-up team will get 2.24 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 20 crores. Apart from this, each team was already scheduled to get 2.5 lakh dollars, whereas during the league stage, it was also decided to get 34,314 dollars for every win.
BCCI will pay more money than ICC!
That means whichever team, either India or South Africa, emerges as champion, will return with a win of at least Rs 40 to 42 crores. If we talk about Team India, then Harmanpreet Kaur’s team can get more money from BCCI than ICC’s prize money if they win the title. A report has revealed that if the Indian team wins the World Cup, then it can also get the same amount of reward from the board as the Indian men’s team that won the T20 World Cup 2024. Let us tell you that BCCI had then given Rs 125 crore to Rohit Sharma’s team.
